For those who want to volunteer at our 2020 TCF National Conference in Atlanta, there are several ways to reach out.

Betty Koczan will be in Atlanta on Tuesday, July 21st. 

When a person registers there is an option to Volunteer. 

Volunteers will have a table usually by registration and people can ask if they need help, 
or you can contact them directly before the Conference (see contact info above). 

Below is a list of committees and a brief description of volunteer duties. 
These are subject to change, or added to once we hear from our chair people. 
Please note that volunteers are very important to the conference. 
You volunteer in memory of your child, grandchild, or sibling.

If you are interested in helping with various areas you can request that too. 
 

BUTTERFLY BOUTIQUE 
Judy Cannon and Pamela Frossard (Marietta, GA  Chapter)

(volunteers are needed to set up the boutique on Wednesday 
and take down Sunday morning...it will be open briefly on Sunday. 
and help in the boutique with sales.) 
 
 

CANDLELIGHTING
Mary Natelli (Sandy Springs, GA Chapter)  and Jackie Jackson (Atlanta Chapter)
 
 
 

CENTERPIECES
Cathy Seehuetter and Martha Hunter 

(volunteers are needed to put centerpieces on the tables 
at Friday’s luncheon and Saturday’s banquet.) 
 
 

CIRCLE OF HOPE

I don’t believe we need volunteers, I think this is TCF participants.
 
 

CRAFTY CORNER
Gail Lafferty and Kathy Rambo

(volunteers are usually needed to help with crafts under the direction of Gail and Kathy and 
volunteers are need to help with set up on Wednesday 
and take down before closing ceremony) 
 
 

GATHERING PLACE
Sandra Stinson (Rome, GA Chapter)

(this is a hospitality type room for attendees. After talking with JSue, 
their may already be a group of volunteers in place. 
If more are needed the responsibilities 
usually include filling snacks and light clean up) 
 
 

GREETERS 
Asaya Guscott, Jackie Jackson, and Casandra Douglas (Atlanta Chapter)

Need local Atlanta Area members to greet conference guests 
and help direct throughout the hotel and city
 
 
 

HEALING HAVEN 
Pamela Hagen

They need volunteers in staggered shifts to direct attendees to the activities 
of their choice and make sure that the facilitators have the necessary things that they need 
– this is a exercise, massage, fitness type area)
 
 
 

HUG STATION
Janet Gemberling Ferjo and Susan Johnson

(one or two to help with assembly on Wednesday, and take down 
by the end of closing ceremony, volunteers are needed to provide hugs 
and work in a scheduled time slot) 
 
 
 

INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY

MAN CAVE

(Volunteers needed "men only" to man the Man Cave .... it will be open 16 hours Friday and Saturday)
 
 
 

MEMENTO COMMITTEE

(volunteers are needed Wednesday Morning to help fold T shirts 
and fill the registration bags, we average 1,500 bags and 
anyone available on Wednesday morning is welcome to help) 
 
 
 

SET-UP
(assist with move-in (Tuesday/Wednesday) assemble items 
 
 
 
 

SHARING SESSIONS AND WORKSHOP SESSIONS

(acknowledge the name of the person who the session is donated for, 
introduce the facilitator, pass out the surveys, collect the surveys, 
time the session and signal the speaker, 
the surveys are picked up at the volunteer desk 
and completed surveys are returned to the volunteer desk) 
 
 

SIBLING COMMITTEE
Cindy Tart and Donna Town (Marietta Chapter) and Stephanie Ann Smith

(they usually acquire their own volunteers and committees) 
 
 
 

SIGN COMMITTEE 
Ron Gallacher

(volunteers are needed to help sort the signs, place signs outside workshops
and sharing sessions, pick up signs after completed sessions and return them to a designated area) 
 
 
 

SILENT AUCTION/RAFFLE

(set-up area, sell raffle tickets)
 
 
 

TEAR-DOWN

(pack up registration area and any other rooms that were not completed on Saturday, 
move all packages to designated area, check all rooms for boxes or any 
TCF items – Butterfly Boutique, Crafty Corner, 
Sibling Area, Silent Auction, Gathering Place, Reflection Room, etc.)
 
 
 

VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

(volunteers are needed to assist with information, be present at the volunteer desk to help 
with monitoring and other duties as needed) 
 
 
 

WALK COMMITTEE 
Glenda Greer and Alabama Chapters

(organize walk signs, distribute lists of names for shirts, take pictures, 
stage volunteers along the route, distribute medals, set up walk signs in designated area, 
collect signs at the completion of the walk, deliver signs to designated shipping area)
