In Loving Memory Jennifer Marie Dailey November 9, 1982 - March 12, 1997 |
Jennifer came into this world with big brown eyes, a beautiful smile
that would light up a room, and a personality that kept everyone around
her laughing. She also came into this world with cystic fibrosis, a terminal
lung disease. The Lord let us have her for 14 l/2 years. In that time she
lived life to the fullest. Even though she might not have been physically
the best at cheerleading or softball, she was the best when it came to
attitude and pressing forward to accomplish all that she could in her short
life. She was able to maintain honor roll grades even though she was out
a lot due to her illness.
Jennifer's legacy is that she loved life. She knew her situation but did not let this horrible disease slow her down or keep her from doing what every 14 year old likes to do. She was blessed with friends who didn't mind the daily chest therapy or feeding tube she took with her when she spent the night out. She never missed a party or any social gathering; she had to be out there! She entertained all who knew her with various funny voices and imitations. Her dream was to become an actress. She never met a stranger; and if she met someone who was shy or quiet, she had a way of getting them to "open up". Her 8th grade classmates collected money to purchase a beautiful bench that is placed on the grounds of the school to honor her memory (see photo). These friends also collected additional donations for the cystic fibrosis center that cared for her. Our family will never forget what they did to keep her memory alive. . Thanks for reading this about Jennifer and looking at her photos. Maybe your life has been touched in some special way by her memory.
